Home Visits

If you are too ill to get to the surgery and require a home visit, please telephone the surgery before 11am.

Please only request home visits if absolutely necessary as the doctor can see three patients in surgery in the same time taken to do one home visit. Explaining to the receptionist what’s wrong will help the doctor see the most urgent visits first.

Visits for the housebound, and for those too unwell to attend the surgery are at the doctor’s clinical discretion.

If the problem is an emergency, needing the doctor straight away, please make this completely clear to the receptionist. You will be put through to the duty doctor.
